How we look after your information, and the simple rules that keep BiscuitsClub kind and safe. Plain English, no surprises. Last updated 13 June 2026.
This policy explains, in plain English, what personal information BiscuitsClub collects, how we use it, and the choices and rights you have. BiscuitsClub is provided by Britannia Digital Limited ("we", "us"), which is the data controller for your information and is registered with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). We take particular care because our members are older adults, and we handle your information in line with UK data protection law (UK GDPR).
When you create and use a BiscuitsClub account, we collect:
Other members only ever see your first name, your area, your age and the profile details and photo you choose to share. They never see your full name, your mobile number, your exact postcode, your date of birth, or your safety contact. Your safety contact's number is never shown to anyone.
We do not sell your information, and we never use it for advertising. We share limited information only with trusted service providers who help us run BiscuitsClub:
These providers only process your information on our instructions. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety of our members.
Your information is stored securely on servers located in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, using encrypted connections and access controls. Where information is processed outside the UK, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place.
Plans and their group chats are temporary and are deleted automatically a short time after each plan ends. Your account information is kept for as long as you have an account. If you delete your account — which you can do at any time from your profile — we remove your personal information from our active systems.
We process your information on the basis of: your consent (for example, joining, optional safety and birthday messages); the performance of our agreement with you to provide the service; our legitimate interests in keeping the community safe and well-run; and, where it applies, our legal obligations.
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access the information we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to data portability. You can withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@britannia.digital. You also have the right to complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk.
BiscuitsClub is for women aged 60 and over. It is not intended for, or directed at, children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the date at the top of this page.
BiscuitsClub is for women aged 60 and over living in the London Borough of Brent. By joining, you confirm you meet these requirements. We review every application and may decline or remove an account at our discretion to keep the community safe.
BiscuitsClub works because members treat one another with kindness and respect. You agree not to harass, deceive, or behave inappropriately toward other members, and not to use the app for anything unlawful. You can report or block any member at any time, and we may remove members who break these rules.
BiscuitsClub helps you arrange to meet other members, but any meet-up is your own decision and takes place at your own discretion. Please use your judgement, meet in public places where you can, and use the "I'm Safe" feature if it helps. We are not responsible for the conduct of members during meet-ups.
You keep ownership of what you post. By posting, you give us permission to show it within the app so the community can work.
